Introduction
TempStars is a dental temp app to quickly and easily find and match hygienists & assistants with dentist offices who need them short-term while their permanent employees are OOO. With over 75,000 completed dental temping shifts, TempStars is Canada's largest dental hiring service.
A large number of users sign up on the platform but don’t engage with it and never return. A team wanted to radically reduce this number, improve activation and retention.

I led the design and development of an extension for PandaDoc, a document management software. The goal was to streamline user workflows while simultaneously capturing the attention of new users.
To start, I conducted an extensive market research to gain insights into the potential value our extension could provide. This research helped us identify numerous feature ideas that could enhance the user experience and attract new users. We then prioritized these features for implementation in the next iteration.
Through extensive user research, we discovered that many e-bike users felt overwhelmed by the technology and controls on their bikes. To address this, we created a simple and intuitive interface that allows riders to easily adjust their level of assist and monitor their battery life. We also incorporated GPS navigation, allowing riders to plan their route and track their progress.
One of the primary objectives was to improve the experience for existing users. We achieved this by allowing them to jumpstart their workflows directly from the extension. By analyzing the data around current product usage, we identified pain points and areas for improvement. I collaborated with cross-functional teams at PandaDoc, including Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing. We worked together to define the product vision and strategy, aligning our efforts with the company's goals.
We aimed to provide a clear and intuitive experience for users. We adopted a research-first approach, just as I did in my role at Microsoft, ensuring that user feedback and needs were at the forefront of our decision-making process.
We recognized the importance of the app store and content strategy for the PandaDoc Extension. We collaborated with marketing and branding teams to ensure that our messaging and branding aligned with our product's ethos. Continuous iterations and user testing of app store assets and copy were essential to effectively communicate the value of the extension to our users.

The PandaDoc Extension is an ongoing project. Throughout my role as a Designer, I have continually refined my craft, collaboration, and project management skills. I have learned the power of data-driven decision-making, the importance of design explorations and storytelling, and the value of user scenarios in shaping product development.
